Panasonic has announced new firmware update v6.0 for the VariCam LT 4K camera that enables cinema camera set up for live and 'near live' multi-cam use. The release of firmware update v6.0 is particularly great news for concert, events, TV shows, and corporate productions
Panasonic released the latest firmware update version 5.0 for their Varicam LT Super 35 cinema camera. The latest update features the addition of the much requested 2K ProRes recording format including ProRes 4444 XQ. The latest codec addition to the already versatile Varicam LT makes the camera even more appealing to single operators specialising in narrative drama or commercials.
Experienced DP Tobias Mennie recently took the Panasonic Varicam LT and shot some beautiful night footage at ISO 5000 of Berlin, showcasing the unique dual-native ISO feature of the camera.

The latest firmware release v2016.10 from Convergent Design is a pretty big deal for Apollo and Odyssey7Q+ users. Announced just yesterday, firmware v2016.10 enables support for the new Titan HD Extract option, Varicam LT Raw support is also added to Odyssey Raw Bundle, ARRIRAW 4:3 is also support, and finally ProRes proxy makes an appearance too.
