Today Canon announce their latest addition to the Cinema EOS range with new EOS C200. With newly developed Canon Dual DIGIC DV6 processors, record internally 4K UHD 50p MP4, 4K DCI Raw and continuous 120 fps High Frame Rate in Full HD without crop.
Metabones firmware v2.7 (E-Mount v0.56) adds support for Panasonic Lumix GH5 and Canon 18-80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S lens to Metabones EF mount Speed Boosters / Smart Adapters.
Great news for all C300 Mark II both current and future owners - the camera has now been officially certified for EBU Tier 1 HD and Tier 2 4K Classification for professional broadcast work. The BBC and other leading broadcasters in the UK and Europe often use the EBU classifications when selecting cameras for jobs, and now that the C300 MK II is officially on the list with the impressive 15 stops dynamic range and a wealth of on-board codecs, owner-operators can rest assured their camera has been officially tested.
Canon recently commissioned a short film called "Connections" which was shot by DP Tim Arasheben on the Canon C500 in 4K via the Convergent Design Odyssey7Q+, rigging from Hollywood based Cinoflex, and shot on only one lens - the mighty Canon 50-1000mm T5.0-8.9 Cine Servo Zoom Lens.
