Rode microphones

In its largest-ever simultaneous product release RØDE has announced six new products at IBC 2015 in Amsterdam. This was a massive event for Rode and the Australian manufacturer added two new microphones, a pair of carbon fibre boompoles, an XLR interface for Apple iOS® devices and an XLR adaptor for the company’s popular RØDELink 2.4GHz digital wireless system to their line-up of products.

Some say your video is only as good as it sounds, and they are right. Often times a lot of people fall for the trap of compromising audio quality in lieu of wowing the audience with pretty pictures. In some situations however, immersive audio will draw the audience much better into the video experience than beautiful images alone.

RØDELink represents the next generation of digital wireless systems. Using a series II 2.4GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption, it is able to constantly monitor and hop between frequencies to maintain the strongest possible signal level at a range of up to 100 metres (over 100 yards).
