The ARRI ALEXA SXT Software Update Package (SUP) 2.0 is now available to download for the ARRI ALEXA SXT camera system. This post describes new features and changes for all ALEXA SXT cameras that are part of ALEXA SXT SUP 2.0 in contrast to ALEXA SXT SUP 1.0.
ARRI introduces a built-in wireless video transmitter in the newest model ALEXA SXT W ("W" for Wireless), a significant upgrade reflecting ARRI's commitment to continually improve the ALEXA SXT platform.
After announcing some pretty significant new features in their ALEXA SXT camera lineup, ARRI also announced two new additions to their Master Anamorphic family of lenses - a wide-angle 28mm T1.9 and a 180mm T2.8 MA.
ARRI are taking their new Alexa SXT flagship to a new level at NAB 2016 by adding new high resolution recording modes including 2K and 4K ProRes, Open-Gate 3.4K ProRes and ARRIRAW 3.2K to satisfy the ever increasing needs and demands on modern high-end cinema and broadcast productions.
