This week we are featuring the new Sony BURANO full-frame cinema camera, the incredibly versatile and powerful ARRI SkyPanel X, and the new addition to the Fujinon Duvo range: the 24-300mm portable PL-mount cine/broadcast zoom.
IBC just opened doors and we already have some huge news such as the brand new Sony Burano cinema camera. We had a sneak peek at the BURANO during the launch event in Pinewood Studios, and were quite impressed with what Sony showed us. The BURANO comes in at just under 3 kilograms, features a new 8.6K Full-Frame sensor and can record 16bit raw internally and also features Sony's industry leading Hybrid Autofocus, a first for this class camera. The BURANO also feature In-Body Image stabilisation for both Sony E and PL mount lenses as well as Dual XLR ports to give you professional audio on board making the BURANO an excellent choice for documentaries and non-scripted drama. ARRI also unveiled their next generation professional, modular LED panels called the SkyPanel X now highly configurable in a 2x1, 2x2 or 2x3 formats by stacking units giving cinematographers and gaffers working on large productions an extremely versatile, durable, powerful and colour accurate LED light. The SkyPanel X can be dimmed down in extremely small increments, is flicker-free at any frame rate and benefits from a full-colour engine capable of an extremely wide colour temperature range from 1,500 to 20,000 Kelvin. In addition, the SkyPanel X is also completely water-proof and also features some very versatile accessories to give you a choice of hard or soft light.

Fujinon also announced a 2nd addition to their Duvo range with the new 24-300mm dual-format portable PL-mount zoom lens. Complimenting the 25-1000mm, the new shorter zoom comes in with a built-in 1.5x extender and a substantially more compact form-factor making it ideal for shoulder-mount broadcast use. The lens supports both full-frame and Super35 sensors and with a max aperture of T2.9 you can also use it in challenging lighting environments.
