For those of you who missed NAB 2016, Panasonic has done a nice round-up video of their offerings at the show, and we also have some new Varicam LT test footage by Steven Bailey.  The Panasonic Varicam LT was announced earlier in the year in February and we had a chance to see it first hand at the BVE 2016 exhibition in London, before we recently received our Varicam LT demo and rental units. We're huge fans of the LT here at Visuals, the camera is very nicely balanced, super-rugged and produces incredible 4K, 2K and Full HD images. We don't believe there is any project too big or small for the Varicam LT - it is a truly versatile professional cinema camera that can be adapted to just about any workflow. Check out Panasonic's video below demonstrating their Broadcast division portfolio at NAB 2016. 02_VaricamLT_SlantPL Panasonic Varicam LT Features

Here's some brand new test footage shot by Steven Bailey demonstrating the huge versatility of the Varicam LT. To get the full benefit Steven has kindly allowed a 1080p ProRes version for home viewing without the Vimeo/internet compression. Panasonic Varicam LT Test Footage from Steven Bailey on Vimeo. See Steven's notes from his experience with the camera below:
I needed to do some pickup shooting for an ad campaign, so I figured I'd try the Varicam out. I only had a couple of days with it. I really, really love this camera, and wish I could have tested it out for a longer period of time. Download the ProRes if you want to see a 1080p render without the internet mush. All 4K except for the slow motion shots at the end, 120p 2K crop. Sigma 18-35mm. Music: Sometimes, by Goldmund My notes: - Beautiful, effortless image and color. Best I've used so far in this price range. - Plenty of dynamic range. 14 stops sounds right. - Very easy to grade. Feels significantly less tricky than Clog 2 or Slog 2
We currently carry the Varicam LT in our hire fleet as well as have it for sale and in stock for immediate shipment. For all your Varicam LT needs contact our Panasonic and large sensor specialists at 0208 977 1222.
