Panasonic have just announced the new LUMIX DMC-FZ1000 Digital Camera. It features a 1”MOS sensor and produces high resolution still images and 4k video recording...pretty impressive! This camera has great potential with a 20-megapixel MOS sensor and a 16x f2.8-4.0 25-400mm long zoom lens. The camera incorporates a 2,359K-dot viewfinder and 3” LCD and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. As I said previously, the FZ1000 can record video at resolutions up to 4K in MP4 at 30fps, and 1080p at 60fps or 120fps. You can also do 1080p at 60fps in AVCHD. With this type of performance you would expect full manual control and you have plus a mic jack, five-axis optical image stabilization, and a five-step speed control for smooth zoom movement while recording. Another nice feature is that you can also grab a single 8-megapixel frame for a still photo from your 4K video recording.
