Zeiss Otus

Zeiss lenses have announced the highly anticipated Otus 100mm f1.4 addition to their prestigious Otus lens family. The new Otus 100mm portrait lens offers superior image quality with incredible resolution, corner to corner sharpness and zero colour fringing or chromatic aberrations. When it comes to build quality and optical design, few come close to the level of sophistication here, and as with the rest of the Otus lenses, the new 100mm f1.4 is a manual focus lens only and will be available in either Canon EF or Nikon mount.

RODECaster Pro

RODE Microphones just released a 2nd major firmware update to their RODECaster Pro podcast production studio. The latest firmware 1.2.0 adds the frequently requested multitrack recording direct to microSD feature as well as some user-friendly improvements to the Rodecaster Pro app. Other new features include a Pause Function allowing users the ability to pause the recording at any time by pressing and holding the record button for two seconds, and updated colour coding to the record button to easily identify the status of the recording.

Sigma

Sigma is part of the new L-mount Alliance alongside Leica and Panasonic and as such the company recently announced they will be making 11 prime lenses from their esteemed Art series for the L-mount system as featured on the new Panasonic S1 full frame mirrorless camera.
