SIGMA 85mm F1.4 DG DN Art lens

Sigma has just announced their latest prime lens specifically designed for mirrorless cameras. The new Sigma 85mm f1.4 Art lens will be available in Sony E as well as L mount making it compatible with popular cameras such as the Sony a7RIV, Sigma fp, Panasonic S1H, and of course the upcoming a7s III. Compared to the existing 85mm Art lens designed originally for DSLRs, the new 85mm offers significant weight savings, while keeping a compact and lightweight but also robust body. The lens design features 5 x Special Low Dispersion elements and a single aspherical element to help to control optical aberrations including chromatic aberration, flare and ghosting. A perfect lens for portrait work and outdoor photography or video work, the new 85mm Art lens features a dust-and splash-proof barrel and de-clickable iris ring among many other features.

New ARRI PCA accessories

ARRI has some new accessories in their PCA Division. The new ARRI Handle Extensions offer five extension bars in different lengths and two hand shells including a sleek wooden finish for a more ergonomic grip. The new HEX system offers multiple 1/4 20 interfaces for mounting various accessories and flexible rigging styles. The new handle extensions can be connected in multiple ways in order to extend a top handle and also allow users to build their own handle design.

Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro ISO

In a recent Live Production Update, Blackmagic Design expanded their growing lineup of  ATEM Mini switchers. The new ATEM Mini PRO ISO shares the same form factor as the Pro version, however it adds a very useful recording feature that lets users record up to 4 independent sources via HDMI. In addition, the switcher generates a DaVinci Resolve project file for a more streamlined editing workflow. Blackmagic Design also announced the ATEM Streaming Bridge SDI Converter, which allows users to take a livestream from any ATEM Mini Pro switcher and connect to existing SDI or HDMI infrastructure, or stream to any website via the Internet.
