Sigma Classic Art Cine Primes

Sigma has announced the pricing and availability details for the highly anticipated Classic Art Cine Primes. Scheduled to start shipping in January 2020, the Sigma Classic Cine Primes will only be available in a set of 10 lenses, priced at $44,000 USD. Based on the optical formula of their highly acclaimed Art Cine Primes, the new Classic range incorporates special non-coated elements for more lens flares. Sigma also released more details for their upcoming Cooke i/Technology compatible PL mount Art Cine primes, some of which have already been used the set of the upcoming Top Gun sequel. The more extreme focal lengths on both ends will be shipping this month in December, with the bulk of the focal lengths to be made available in January.


Panasonic AJ-CX4000 camcorder

Panasonic has also released pricing details for their top newly announced AJ-CX4000 broadcast shoulder camcorder. The B4 mount camcorder is equipped with a new 4.4K image sensor and has been optimised to deliver stunning, low noise 4K HDR for broadcast applications. Hybrid Log Gamma and the new BT.2020 broadcast standard, are fully supported, and the camera can also be used with 2/3rds lenses without an external adapter. The AJ CX4000 is available to order now with a list price of $25,000 and is scheduled to ship later in December.


Visual Bytes

Visual Impact have just launched their new Visual Bytes programme…a series of short ‘how- to’ instructional videos hosted by experienced DoP Jeremy Humphries. With emphasis towards the Sony FS7 and PXW Z280 but relevant to all cameras these videos cover the key areas you need to set-up your camera.
