ARRI & Bebob B-mount

ARRI announced the development of new battery mount in co-operation with German battery maker Bebob. The new B-mount has been designed to be stable and robust so as to meet the increasing power demands of modern cine cameras and lighting solutions. ARRI have also said they will be using the B-mount on their future cameras. The new B-Mount provides 24 Volt power but will also supports 12 Volt making it possible to supply all devices on set with a single battery system. The B-mount specifications have been fully documented and are open to third-party battery manufacturers, so you can expect to see B-mount batteries from other manufacturers soon.

SmallHD 702 Touch

SmallHD announced the 702 Touch – a new daylight viewable touchscreen on-camera monitor. The new 702 Touch features a large, 7-inch 1920 x 1200 display with a daylight viewable 1,500 nit panel. The new SmallHD monitor is also packed with professional monitoring tools such as false colour, focus peaking, vectorscope and 3D LUT support in addition to offering a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage making for an unparalleled monitoring experience both in the studio and in the field. Offering both 3G-SDI and HDMI connectivity, the 702 Touch can be powered via two Sony NP-F batteries or via optional V-mount/Gold mount battery brackets.

Fujinon MK Series

The Fujinon MK series lightweight cine zooms have been around for a while now, but only in the Sony E-mount and Fuji X mount, however now you can also order the Fujinon MK18-55mm T2.9 and its sister lens the Fujinon MK50-135mm T2.9 natively in the Micro Four Thirds mount without having to convert the lens via a third party. Previously, the MFT mount conversion was available through third party lens specialists such as MFT Services here in the UK. The new lens mount option will be perfect for those shooting with the Panasonic GH5S or Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.
