Sony FR7 Firmware Update v2.0 is now available to download

Sony has just released a new firmware update for the FR7 full-frame PTZ camera. Firmware update version 2.0 for the Sony FR7 brings some exciting new features such as added support for Autofocus in more frame rates during Slow & Quick Motion as well as support for the RTMP/RTMPS protocols for streaming. Firmware v2.0 also adds support for the free-d protocol for VR/AR systems, in addition to the ability to use 3rd party lens controllers to operate manual zoom lenses. Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K Low-Light Test Footage with clips for download

Blackmagic Design have released some new test footage from their new Cinema Camera 6K shot by ASC cinematographer Vance Burberry in the neon lit urbanscape of New York City at night. The challenging lighting condition of the city shows off the impressive capabilities of the new camera, which is able to deliver a rich image with clean shadows and pleasing skin tones. Lenses used include the L-mount Sigma 24-70mm and the Sigma 135mm f1.8 prime. You can also download a couple of scenes from the test and do your own grade in Resolve. These include a subway scene shot in Blackmagic Raw 6K Open Gate, and the Hell's Kitchen clip shot in 4K DCI at ISO 400.

Sound Devices Firmware update v9.01 for MixPre Series

Sound Devices have also released a new update for their Mix Pre range. Firmware update v9.01 is now available to download from Sound Device's and it gives the ability to users to have audio on Aux Input 1 and timecode on Auxiliary Input 2 or vice versa. Other improvements include various fixes in custom and ambisonics mode as well as enabling limiter settings to remain recongnized after a power cycle on the Mix Pre Series II.
