The CODEX Compact Drive Reader is a single-slot reader for easy access to data on your Compact Drives. It is actively cooled, bus-powered via USB-C and compatible to macOS, Windows and Linux. Mac users can access the free CODEX Device Manager software, which enables on-the-fly, loss less file size reduction with High Density Encoding (HDE) directly from the drive.

The Compact Drive Reader is the perfect choice for a quick media check on the go. It also offers decent read speed for backing up data from one camera, as long as it can run in full performance mode*. The base of the reader contains a magnetic plate which allows you to securely stack several readers on top of each other.

*Note: Full read performance of ~1GB/s requires connection to a 10 Gbps USB-C port with 3A power delivery (LED on the drive will light up blue).
