The omnidirectional DPA CORE 4060 has a 6dB increase over the Legacy 4060 capsule, giving a dynamic range of 106dB typical, and a maximum SPL of 134dB. Originally designed for use in television and film sound recording, the microphone is also frequently used for a range of close-miking, including instruments. The pre-polarised condenser mic has a frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz and a nominal sensitivity of 20mV/Pa. The microphone is 'well suited for applications where the sound source is more remote or damped and you need to have a good balance signal versus noise'. the 4060 is best suited for close pick-up of voice or instrument.
