Open Rigging

Our FX5 Bottom Plate is forward-facing in more ways than one. Of course, the camera is kept aligned by two mounting screws and anti-twist lips; but the built-in Arca compatibility means you can also mount it to a huge range of options. If you’re running a stripped-back rig, just clip it into an Arca tripod, or you can attach it into our OpenRig™ ecosystem if you’re wanting to go truly cinematic.

Shoot Your Shot

We don’t want to tell you how to shoot. The FX5 is such a versatile piece of gear, there are so many different uses. If you need to bolt it direct to a camera plate, the Bottom Plate features 1/4" and 3/8” screw threads on the base – perfect for minimal camera plates or mounting to an arm like our Titan Arm 2 Ti. For running around the city handheld, keep the camera close with a QD socket for compatible straps.

Access Granted

We’ve carefully shaped the FX5 Bottom Plate to maximise rigging capabilities, without blocking any camera features. The Bottom Plate doesn’t block any buttons, including the customisable front button, and the Plate contours to the camera shape - so there’s no uncomfortable corners. We’ve also made a cutout port for you to feed out dummy battery cables, giving you more power without compromising on space.
