As the flagship in the Cartoni range, the Magnum fluid head is designed to support fully decked Studio and Outside Broadcast cameras equipped with long boxed lenses, viewfinder or large teleprompter.

The Magnum incorporates patented counterbalance system as well as Cartoni’s advanced “planetary” fluid damping modules.

The counterbalance system is ideally suited to operate with cameras featuring a high center of gravity and weighing between 30 kg & 130 kg (66 lbs & 287 lbs). Cameras within this weight range can be perfectly balanced through the entire 130° tilt angle.

The Cartoni Heavy Duty tripod comes with full aluminum alloy castings and locking knobs enabling this heavyweight support to achieve the outstanding loading capacity of 200 kg (441 lbs.)

Cartoni engineers designed the aluminum alloy Mitchell base, to flawlessly integrate the leg castings, thus forming a torsion free structure.

Six hard-anodized aluminum tubes with a diameter of 2.5 cm (1”) and a thickness 2 mm ultimately provide the superior rigidity.

All Heavy Duty tripods are geared to mount an array of Cartoni accessories such as mid-level, ground spreaders, and dollies to operate in the widest variety of environments. (When assembled with mid-level spreader, requires pivoting tripod feet)
