Job Title: Camera Preparation Technician

Due to a sustained high workload, 24-7 Drama London are currently looking for a camera technician to join our growing team.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the UK camera rental industry, with good knowledge of equipment currently being used in the industry. The successful candidate will be integrated from day one with our experienced preparation team and will be expected above all to uphold 24-7 Drama’s high standards of equipment presentation and maintenance. Any candidate who is able to demonstrate good crew liaison skills will be viewed in a positive light.

Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and testing equipment for productions of all sizes to the high standard 24-7 Drama is known for. This process will involve close communication with our experienced camera rental desk.
• Acting as the liaison between any testing crew members and rental desk staff; providing accurate information and managing equipment requests in a positive manner where necessary.
• Utilising our bespoke rental system to track all equipment, ensuring all information on equipment maintenance is accurately recorded.
• Ensuring that all required administrative work is completed in a timely manner.

Skills and Requirements

Fluency in English is essential and the ideal candidate will have:

• An excellent working understanding of all camera equipment used in modern productions, with an understanding of modern grip equipment being beneficial.
• Previous experience and knowledge of both rental houses and productions requirements.
• The ability to remain calm and retain a professional manner under pressure.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills.
• An enthusiastic, self-motivated, and collaborative attitude.

Salary and Working Hours

A highly competitive salary is available for the successful candidate which will be commensurate with experience. Working hours are 8:00-18:30 Monday to Friday, but due to the nature of our industry, work may be occasionally required outside of these hours.
