Dedolight

Dedolight
Dedolight was founded in 1965 as a film production company by legendary DoP and industry veteran Dedo Weigert. The company later evolved into a film camera rental house supplying cameras and teams for local productions as well as for US television. DWF as it was then known has supplied camera equipment and crews to multiple Formula One races as well as all the cameras for ABC for their television coverage of the 1972 Olympics in Munich.

For decades, DWF was regarded as the premiere rental house and supplier of high-speed film cameras in Europe with numerous 16mm, 35mm and 70mm high-speed film cameras. Cameras and technicians were sent all over Europe, mainly for the shooting of commercials and special effects. It was around that time, the company also started offering various brands of lighting and accessories for the television and film industry.

Over the years, the company focused their R&D efforts into the development of their own lighting systems and eventually developed a dual-lens system for high-precision lighting for film, TV, and photography. Today, Dedolight is synonymous with their innovative approach to high precision and specialised lighting, which has earned them many industry awards, including a technical Oscar (twice), an Emmy award and multiple others. Today the company offers an extensive catalogue of high-quality, high-precision optics and lighting solutions based on the latest LED technology, leveraging multiple decades long expertise in the field of creating moving images.
