Founded in 1935, Angénieux is regarded within the motion picture industry as one of the leaders in high-end cinema zoom lenses. The French lens specialist has gained global recognition for its high-end precision optics and also received a technical Oscar from the Academy for the mechanical and optical excellence of their Optimo 15-40 and 28-76 zoom lenses.

Angénieux is also known for making some of the finest Anamorphic zoom lenses and more recently a range of prime lenses for cinematography.
