Richard Payne Head of Technology
Richard has been involved with Video and Media Production for over 30 years, starting out as a runner and tape-op for Aspen Spafax TV at the age of 18.
He was a runner for BBC Drama on 'Trainer' and a researcher for the BBC 2 Travel Show.
 
Richard worked as a cameraman, editor, director and producer on a variety of projects all over the world for clients including BP, Glaxo, and Eurostar.
 
During 10 years as Sales Director of DVC he worked with a huge variety of customers, from the BBC to the Security Services, developing deep knowledge of NLE editing.
 
Now after 11 years with Holdan Ltd he has been made Head of Technology for this fast growing video equipment distributor, where he manages the external technical presales team and explains and enthuses about our wide portfolio of digital video equipment, undertake high end demonstrations, and keep track of the latest developments. From ENG and cinema cameras to vision mixers, lights, wireless transmission, streaming and cellular bonding, he really enjoys solving any video related problems and putting systems together to fulfil any electronic moving picture requirements.
