'Sigma60' short film festival

Sigma celebrates the company's 60th anniversary and launches an exciting filmmaking competition with some tempting prizes. All you have to do to enter is create a short film that is 60 seconds or less and contains no spoken word. There is no theme or requirement to use Sigma gear, however judges will be looking for a strong narrative paired with solid cinematography and editing. The closing day for submissions is December 9th with the winners to be announced on January 5th, 2022. Top prizes include a Sigma 18-35mm T2 cine zoom, a Sigma fp full-frame camera and an 18-35mm Art series lens.

Teradek Spark 4K

Teradek has announced a new portable 4K wireless transmission system for all broadcast and production needs. The Teradek Spark 4K works on the 5GHz frequency spectrum and features a slick and compact design. The system supports a zero-delay wireless transmission of a 10bit 4K signal over HDMI at distances of up to 500 feet. Users can send a signal from a camera, a laptop or a switcher to a projector, encoder or another switcher. In addition, the Spark 4K system allows you to use one transmitter to send a signal to 2 receivers further expanding the wireless capabilities of your on-set cable-free workflow. The transmitter features an internal battery rated for 90+ minutes and the Teradek Launchpad mobile app allows you to monitor the signal and also pair transmitters and receivers.

Atlas 25mm Orion

At Cine Gear, innovative optics maker Atlas officially launched their highly-anticipated Orion 25mm T2 anamorphic lens. Known for making high quality professional, but also affordable anamorphic lenses, Atlas brings to market their widest anamorphic lens, growing the Orion set to a total of 7 lenses.
