Blackmagic Camera Update 4.3.1 adds still image capture

Blackmagic have released a new firmware update for their Ursa Mini cameras. The Blackmagic Camera Update 4.3.1 is particularly directed to the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K enabling support for Cinema DNG stills capture and more.

So what does the Blackmagic Camera Update 4.3.1 include? Camera users can now snap a RAW photo when using the "still" button located on the side of the camera. In addition, the setup improves frame guides, headphone detection as well as battery indicator accuracy on the URSA Mini 4K or 4.6K camera.

  • Fixed bug where grids appeared when enabling frame guides.

PLEASE NOTE: The camera has to be plugged into mains power before running the setup. Users updating from 4.0 are advised to export presets and LUT's onto a card as these will be wiped during the update.
