Rotolight, an esteemed award-winning UK LED lighting manufacturer, announced their latest evolution in the Anova series - the ANOVA PRO. The new LED light is billed as "the ultimate LED studio/ location light designed for the most demanding of professionals".
The new ANOVA PRO is 43% brighter than the previous generation and also includes updated electronics and a 10% weight reduction. The yoke design has also been revamped; the Anova Pro also features a new Flash Sync Trigger input for camera shutter release synchronization at up 150% of the maximum continuous light output.
The new Anova Pro comes in three different models - a Bi-Colour Standard with a 50 degree beam spread, a Bi-Colour UltraWide with a 110 degree beam spread, and a 5600K Fixed Colour version.
Rotolight's Anova Pros Bi-Colour LED system features innovative AccuColour LED Phosphor technology enabling the light to deliver very high quality of light with a CRI of 96+ and a powerful output of up to 6545 Lux at 3 feet. The benefit of LED lighting is that these new models are using 94% less energy than a standard tungsten light.
Colour and brightness can be accurately tuned via ergonomic dials, and DMX control and V-Lock battery plate comes as standard. Rotolight are planning on making Wi-fi control available on Anova PRO ‘AIR’ models sometime later in the Fall this year.
Anova PRO additional Features
- CINE SFX - includes a multitude of customizable Lighting effects for Television/ production/ feature film applications on set or location such as Strobe, Lightning, Fire, Cycle, Throb, Police, TV, Spin, Weld, Spark, Film, Neon and Gunshot. Includes wired remote trigger functionality and wireless control (Wi-Fi models only), along with rolling shutter compensation. CineSFX eliminates the need for legacy ‘ flicker box’ workflows, saving significant time and cost to achieve powerful lighting effects.
- Flash Sync - allows the Anova Pro to be integrated into a traditional photography workflow, whilst providing a hyper-accurate modelling light, along with control of flash power/duration colour temperature and offset, combining the advantages the best of both legacy strobe technology and continuous ‘shoot what you see’ light output.
- True Aperture Dimming - calculates and displays the correct aperture (F-Stop) for your subject at a given distance, revolutionizing your work flow by eliminating the need for metering. Alternatively, dynamically adjust your brightness level, to work at your desired aperture (F-Stop).
- Designer Fade - mode provides custom fade up / fade down interview/ production effects for video creators to get the effect in camera, reducing time required in post-production.
You can see some of the CineSFX features demonstrated in the video below as featured on the Rotolight NEO light.
