NEW Atomos Connect Converters announced at IBC

Aside from the launch of their new HDR production monitor, the Sumo19M, also announced was a new lineup of Atomos Connect Converters directed at broadcasters as also live event production.

There are 15 models in the line-up for Broadcast and ProAV integrators, with six colour coded families to make finding the right product for the right solution easy. Featuring conversion, signal processing and system integration boxes that Connect, Convert, Scale, Sync, Split, and Repeat video signals, Atomos' new range commanded notable interest at IBC.

The Connect Convert TC and Connect Convert 4K models also have a standout feature that adds scope and audio overlay to any connected display. Timecode, waveform and audio VU meters can be overlaid on the video signal with the toggle of a dip switch.

Each of the tomos Connect Converters is colour-coded according to use, making life easier for broadcast and AV system integrators: blue for connect, red for convert, yellow for scale, green for sync, black for split and white for repeat. Bright LEDs clearly display the status of each unit at a glance. Finding the right box and confirming its status has never been easier.

Key Features of the Atomos Connect Converters:
Connect HDMI devices with confidence that they will remain securely fixed. A provided HDMi locking plate screws into the converter, allowing HDMI cables of different sizes to be secured with a cable tie.

Just like the SDI and HDMI connections, DC power connection is made secure with a screw thread sleeve that locks the power connection in place.

Each converter comes in a slimline metal housing with removable mounting ears, allowing for flexible mounting options for Broadcast and ProAV applications.

Apart from mains power, there are options to power the converters via USB, providing the ability to run for hours from simple cellphone power banks or TV USB sockets.
