BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Visual Impact for a Business Development Executive to join our sales team in Teddington, Middlesex.

The role is primarily a field based position offering an uncapped commission scheme and the opportunity to work in a friendly and privately own company. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing both existing clients within the TV and Film industry and developing new ones. Working on their own initiative they will need to be able to build strong relationships with clients and achieve sales targets.

    Reporting to the Sales Director and working within the sales team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the sales and business development of a range of broadcast equipment to B2B customers within the TV and Film industry.

    To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate a sales background together with a knowledge / experience of video equipment or production. You must be able to communicate at all levels in a confident and knowledgeable manner.

    Have an excellent telephone manner, be highly organized and have a willingness to help maintain our excellent customer service.

    SALES ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE:

    Visual Impact (Bristol) Ltd are looking for a Sales Account Executive, this is a newly created role to help us deal with the increasing demand for ad-hoc purchasing of professional video and photo equipment created over the phone and through drop-ins at our Bristol branch. As a Sales Account Executive you will deal with customers both over the phone and face-to-face, discussing and understanding their needs and providing them with Broadcast and Production equipment solutions that address their needs. As the public face of Visual Impact Sales in Bristol, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customers have a professional and positive high quality experience of buying from Visual Impact.

    Whilst this list is not exhaustive, some of the tasks that you will be involved in will include:
    1) Answering the phones and assessing our customers’ needs
    2) Dealing with face-to-face customer enquiries– this will include;
    a. Assessing product suitability
    b. Checking product availability and lead times
    c. Calculating and quoting costs (either for pick-up or shipping)
    d. Recommending suitable accessories
    e. Dealing with initial compatibility questions (e.g. is this camera compatible with certain lenses/media etc.)
    3) Initial response to web leads for new customers
    4) Processing the orders that you generate
    5) Liaising with other Visuals offices to manage collections etc.
    6) Keeping your customers up to date regarding order progress (if appropriate)
    7) Chasing up items with suppliers (as appropriate)
    8) Any other tasks as may be reasonably required

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join Visual Impact, learn the ropes, develop a customer base and in time to progress into a full Account Executive/Account Manager role.

    Desired Skills & Experience:
    A strong interest in the AV and broadcast industry allied with a minimum of a years’ sales experience working with customers both over the phone and face to face
    • Knowledge of selling to business users and/or professional consumers
    • Good level of IT Competency (including MS Office Suite and sales CRM systems)
    • A sound understanding of key business issues and of customers’ needs.
    • Ability to focus on achieving results and to develop successful business relationships
    • A self-starter who can demonstrate they can use their own initiative
    • Enthusiastic/energetic/lively
