Sony Arri Panasonic Cameras Comparitive Tests

On 17 & 18 Feb Visual Impact, Cine HD and Media Film Services got together in the Media Hive Studio in Cape to start shooting comprehensive camera and format comparitive tests.

To ensure objectivity and because we all like each other we involved more than one camera rentals facility.

Amongst other tests, we ASA rated the cameras, shot latitiude and resolution tests and examined the effect of recording straight on to SR.

The following cameras were tested: Arri D-20, Sony f900 & HDW 750, the PDW 350 XDCam HD,Panasonic HVX 200, Sony V1 and EX-1.
